I recently migrated my Plex library from iOS to a NAS. This entire process, although took a couple of days due to the size of my library, was a relatively easy process. Now that the NAS is all set up I don't have to worry about having my computer turned on in order to use Plex on the Apple TV (4th gen, updated).
So far all media is playing flawlessly as expected, bar 1 tv series (friends). When playing an episode, a couple of mins in I get an error message saying my server cannot keep up for smooth play back, try lowering the quality. I do this by going into the settings for the episode & selecting the desired quality. However, Plex does not seem to remember this & will only try to play on the higher quality it's struggling with. I know this as once I have selected the quality, gone out & then back in again, the quality selection has moved.
I found this issue confusing as it plays much higher quality, larger files, such as BluRay quality films, flawlessly. But with these tiny tv episodes it's really struggling? I have not noticed this issue with any other Tv series.
Any thoughts as to why Plex would struggle so much with these small files, or a way around to change the quality & have Plex remember my selection?
